PICKONE STUDIOS RESERVES THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS:

  • To work within an environment which is safe. Any student who threatens, is verbally abusive, or has behaviour/s which makes fellow students or staff feel unsafe will be withdrawn/asked to leave immediately with no refund given.

  • To ensure that students working within the PickOne Studios do so safely. If it's felt that any student is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they will be ask to leave the premises immediately or not admitted entry. If this happens the student will be withdrawn from the course immediately with no refund given.

  • Prior to booking if you are in any doubt regarding your physical abilities, which includes dexterity, specifically in the use of your hands and any visual impairment you may have please do get in touch to discuss this prior to booking any class on the PickOne site.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • PickOne Studios reserve the right to cancel courses if the circumstances dictate. We will endeavour to notify you via email, text or phone call as soon as possible and/or convenient.

  • All students must make sure that their contact information is correct at the time of booking, including telephone numbers as we will not be responsible if you do not get the information as a result of incorrect contact details given at the time of booking.

  • If we must cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances that are out with with our control (acts of god, extreme weather conditions, public health situations, acts of terrorism, acts of vandalism, fire, water damage, structural damage to the building, theft) no refunds will be given, however you will be offered an alternative class of the same value at a time that suits you. This offer will be valid for 12 months.

  • If students must cancel their place more than four weeks before the start of a class, fees will not be refundable, however, in exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer a partial refund less the administration fee of £50. We, kindly request that you outline the circumstances in writing by e-mail. With such short notice, the available space will be offered up to and if taken a refund minus a £50 admin fee will of course be refunded.

  • Any less time than 4 weeks notice will incur a “short notice” £150 fee, this fee will be waived if the vacated space is filled.

  • This fee, plus admin fee of £50, requires to be paid in full prior to the attendance of the new chosen date. If this fee is not paid in full the place will be forfeited with no refund given.

  • If the vacated place is filled, an admin fee of £50 will be requested for the time taken to secure a student for the space. If this fee is not paid in full the place will be forfeited with no refund given.

  • If you can no longer attend and alternative dates for the rest of the calendar year and beyond do not suit, refunds for paid for classes are given as an absolute last resort, minus the cost of an admin fee of £50 and be made with discretion by myself, James Donald.

  • Students who can no longer attend a booked class will be offered an alternative date in the future, at a time that suits them, valid for 12 months from the scheduled class. No fee will be taken for this transfer of dates if it is done 4 weeks plus, prior to the originally booked class.

  • If one cancels their space on a weekend weave course with less than 4 weeks notice and no future dates are deemed suitable, no refund will be issued.

  • No refunds can be given for the non attendance of a rescheduled class and no alternatives will be given.

  • Non-attendance of the class due to illness or personal circumstances does not provide the right to a refund or credit. However, in exceptional circumstances we may be able to offer a partial refund less the administration fee of £50. We, kindly request that you outline the circumstances in writing by e-mail.

EVENING CLASSES & SPECIALITY CLASSES:

  • Evening classes run for 12 weeks at 3.5 hours per session, if during that time a situation arises where a night has to be missed due to an unforeseen social occasion, a work commitment, etc. please give as much notice as possible and the missed evening will be “tacked on” to the end of your block to give you the full 12 weeks/42 hours. We allow for two missed classes to be “tacked on”. Additional missed beyond two classes will not be add.

  • Monday afternoon classes run for 8 weeks at 3.5 hours per session and like above you may find you have to miss a class. Please do give as much notice as possible and the missed evening will be “tacked on” to the end of your block to give you the full 8 weeks/28 hours. We allow for one missed class to be “tacked on”. Additional missed beyond one classes will not be add.

  • Students going over their allotted class time of 12 weeks for an evening class and 8 weeks for the Monday afternoon will be charged a fee of £30 per additional afternoon until individual projects are complete. Alternatively an additional three weeks/10.5 hours of studio time can be booked in for £80, monies owed need to be paid in full prior to beginning the three additional weeks. Both can be paid by arrangement.

  • If you complete your project in 6 weeks or under, students will be offered to use the remaining time to begin a new project with an additional charge of £20 to recoup additional material costs.

  • No refunds will be issued if one completes a project under the allocated time for either classes or completes prior to additional classes booked.

  • Any damage to equipment as part of any classes held in the PickOne space will have to be replaced like for like with an additional charge of £50 for administrative costs.

EQUIPMENT USE AND LOAN:

  • As outlined on course descriptors, equipment used for weekend workshops are taken away at the end of the workshop for the completion of individual projects by the fee paying students. This is estimated to take between 6 and 8 additional hours depending on ability.

  • The return of the equipment will be discussed at the end of the class with dates given as to when the looms must be returned. Looms can be returned earlier and this can be arranged via e-mail.

  • Equipment must returned in full working order. Looms will be assessed on their return. Any damage or loss must be paid in full + a £50 administration fee by the student who signed up/participated in the workshop.

  • PickOne abhors waste. Therefore looms returned with an incomplete project/warp will be subject to a £150 charge so that the piece can be woven off, finished and completed. The piece can then be sent off to the student and PickOne will be responsible for postage and packaging costs.

  • If you wish to bring along your own loom to a weekend weave class, this needs to be organised in advanced and the loom dropped off on the Thursday prior to a weekend workshop to allow time set up and any maintenance it may require. Discounts are not offered for bringing your own loom.

COVID-19:

  • If classes are cancelled in accordance to national/local lockdowns no refunds will be given, however an alternative class of the same value will be offered at a time that suits you. This alternative will be valid for 12 months.

  • No refunds can be given for the non attendance of a rescheduled class and no alternatives will be given.

PAYMENTS:

  • Payment in full secures a place on any of the PickOne workshops outlined on the PickOne website.

FEES:

  • Workshop fees cover tuition, use of studio equipment, all materials and follow up hand outs, tea coffee and occasional snack. There are no discounts given if you wish to bring along your own materials or loom.

  • All fees must be paid in full when booking a class and participation will only happen once fees have been paid in full.

PHYSICAL FITNESS & WELLBEING:

  • Please ensure that the workshop you have booked on to is suited for your level of abilities and physical fitness as PickOne Studios are not responsible from any issues arising from booking on a course which is too advanced or not advanced enough for the workshop attendee, if this is the case no refunds will be issued.

  • Whilst in the PickOne Studios, your well being is our number one priority. Should you become unwell during a class, we will do our level best to look after and do what is best for you. If you are unable to attend the second day we will offer you a place on the next available class, however it may not be feasible to "save" the work so far completed over the duration of the course, but we will do our best to accommodate the situation through clear communication.

DISABLED ACCESS:

  • We are happy to inform you that the studio space is wheelchair accessible. If you have a disability and would like to take part in a weave class please contact James to discuss any access requirements or specific needs you have. All wheelchair users should let James know in advance so we can accommodate you with least fuss as possible.

  • It is our aim to accommodate everyone who wants to join us. The earlier you are able to let us know what you might need, the better we will be able to make your experience.

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  • We dislike spam and will not give your personal data to any third party in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

  • We may wish to use photographs, artwork and audio-visual media containing your image or likeness in our future marketing and promotional materials and you hereby consent that we may do so in all and any media for such purposes

  • If you would prefer that we do not, we will address this with any concerns at the beginning of any workshop. It is perfectly acceptable to say no.

  • Copyright of any photographs containing your image or work made during any of the workshops attended shall not entitle you to receive any royalties or other payments from PickOne.

GIFT VOUCHERS FOR WORKSHOPS AND PHYSICAL GOODS:

  • Product and Course Gift Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed/refunded after the expiry date.

  • Printable email Vouchers shall be provided free of charge to the email address provided at point of purchase.

  • Courses must be pre-booked and Vouchers redeemed online only. Redemption contact details are provided on the Voucher.

  • Product Gift Vouchers can be used as part or full payment for physical goods. If the goods exceeds the amount of the gift Voucher, the balance must be paid in full prior to the purchase. Bank transfer details will be sent on request to reduce any transactional fees.

  • Course Gift Vouchers can only be used as full payment for a course with PickOne. Only one Course Gift Voucher per course booking can be redeemed.

  • Product and Course Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable

  • Course availability: Spaces are only secured once a course has been booked, so it is recommended that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

  • Lost, stolen, or destroyed Product and Course Gift Vouchers will not be replaced, exchanged, or refunded

  • Cancellation: In the unlikely event that a course needs to be cancelled by PickOne Studios, new Product and Course Gift Vouchers shall be issued and shall be valid for a further 12 months. If a course is cancelled by a Voucher holder no refund or replacement course shall be given.

  • Product and Course Gift Vouchers are valid for the full cost of courses, workshops or goods as advertised at www.pickone.co.uk up to the face value of the voucher.

  • Physical goods purchased can be returned within 30 days should there be an issue and the Product Gift Voucher reinstated to its full face value or alternative goods/services selected. Further exchanges will not be permitted. Purchaser will be responsible for the the cost of postage and packaging.

  • All sale goods are bought as seen, no refunds will be issued in the event you are unhappy with your purchase.

  • Goods purchased cannot be exchanged for the financial value of the items purchased with a Product Gift Voucher.

  • PickOne will be responsible for all postage and packaging costs within the UK.

  • All items purchased will be sent to the address offered up at the time of purchase by the purchaser.

  • PickOne is not liable for any import costs incurred through the recipients countries own import duties.

  • ​A charge of £20 will be administrated to all overseas sales for goods made with a PickOne Product Gift Voucher. This will contribute to postage and packaging costs and will be taken off the cost of the voucher meaning a Product Gift Voucher bought for £100 can be redeemable for goods to the value of £80 for all goods being shipped overseas.
